Lama Marji

LAMA MARJI, Grey Matters Education, Consultant, Early Years Expert

Lama Marji is an experienced early years and primary teacher.  She graduated from the American University of Beirut in 2005 with a BA and primary years teaching certificate with an emphasis in mathematics and science education.  She went on to pursue an MA in Education at the Lebanese-American University in Beirut.  In 2015 she was certified as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming practitioner.  Her teaching and learning journey involved working as a teacher with both traditional and IB programs, Reggio-inspired IB-PYP.  She has visited Reggio and attended a study group in 2012.  Lama also set up and ran a Reggio-style Atelier at a child education center in Beirut.  She has also engaged in research projects at LAU and has worked as a trainer and consultant with GME for the past three years.  Her work experience has pushed her to have a better understanding about the child and to give more value towards the social interaction as an integral pillar of learning in the early years. She has built strong skills in understanding children’s needs and interests and thus designing a curriculum that spins around it.
