Suzanne Talhouk’s talk is the first Arabic language talk to go up on the main TED.com site. She gave the talk at TEDxBeirut 2012 and though not without controversy, it went viral. Suzanne’s talk is particularly relevant to Lebanon and other countries where multilingualism is socially valued, but foreign languages become dominant in the public sphere. She raises some great points that are extremely relevant for educational policy and for teaching and learning.
If you need English subtitles you can select them from inside the video frame or by viewing from the main TED site.
